Wishes are dormant seeds. Wants are germinated.
Friday (today) is a good day to finish out a month like this, a month with a goal. It's a clean-cut ending on the final work-day of the week.
How I wish to have done more this month. I'm wishing too much, because life doesn't live off wishes but wants, wants so strong they bust blockades, like a weed pushing up through concrete.
A wish is an embryonic want, a want in the womb. A wish has not yet breathed the air, as a want has. A want sucks in the air, sucks and sucks and sucks, until it stands up and tackles the world.
A want is a drive before the destination. A want has an extended life. A want grows. A want powers through dark, dreary chambers, again, like the weed that finds a way from under the damp cement. A want seeks life and leaves, to be green.
A seed germinated wants to grow. A seed dormant is a wish still.
What kind of seed am I? What kind of dreams are mine? Dreams that remain unseen? Or dreams spoken, written, that have busted out of their silent state?
A dream turns into a wish; turns into a want; turns into a life lived; an extension of sweat, perseverance, deliberateness, hope and drive.
Wants drive life.
Life leads to goals.
Have a good life, Eugene. Go after your wants, as passion goes after its lover.

Highly Trained by my wife
Back in '82, I married into another country, another race, another language and culture, another way of doing things, simple things, like organizing kitchen shelves, tying shoes, shopping for bread, all different... when I married my beloved from Japan, Yoshi.
We were introduced by our favorite pastor but could not be more opposite, except our birth dates which shoulder each other. Our marriage turned out to be a blessing. I'm a pastor, an uncle, and a grandpa. Stick around, you might learn something from our boiling marriage stew.
