The answer hides inside the cubicles of prison.
You wouldn’t hear it. If you did, you wouldn’t believe it. And when you do, you’ll miss it as a revealing, because God wouldn’t let you know that it’s Him crying outright as such. Or is it Her?
God is not crying at all, to those who believe in Him. God is not vulnerable in a believers’ eyes. God is not at all distraught to them. God, instead, is Almighty. Why would this all-powerful God and Creator be bubbling in tears like a fountain with no controls?
I’m asking the question because, though I’ve been taught the answer intellectually, and I may tell you, intellectually, the answer, the answer will remain but a post-it note on the clipboard of human knowledge. The answer eludes jotting down on a card.
The answer hides inside the cubicles of prison.
Hasn’t God been imprisoned, when His children have been? Jesus said, “when you give drink to one of my children, you have given drink to me.” The same principle applies to imprisoning a child. But this is still an intellectual understanding.
God has no audible voice because we have “no ears to hear.” We who have no ears to hear, of course, will not hear the sobbing of God. We won’t believe it though by fortune we do cognize the burbling of water as coming from God’s unmet heart. We, instead, will dress it up and call it a mountain spring.
Consider the oceans. We sail upon them and conquer them, yet they are filled with the same saltwater as our tears. But this hint, we do not get.
We do not know God is crying. We do not know why would God be crying. I think it’s because… We don’t want to know. That is why. We are foreign to God. We exist in the world but not as if we are a part of the far distant, unapproachable God, the Creator, the Almighty… Because we live separate lives.
How untrue that is. How we add sadness upon sadness. Ignorance of ignorance is not bliss. How we ignore the very cells in our bodies. They weep interminably along with this God. I know this through experience. We are closer to God than the breath in our lungs. Our bone marrow is molded with the substance of God.
God is crying because we do not know that one truth. Or rather, our knowing is of an intellectual kind only.

Highly Trained by my wife
Back in '82, I married into another country, another race, another language and culture, another way of doing things, simple things, like organizing kitchen shelves, tying shoes, shopping for bread, all different... when I married my beloved from Japan, Yoshi.
We were introduced by our favorite pastor but could not be more opposite, except our birth dates which shoulder each other. Our marriage turned out to be a blessing. I'm a pastor, an uncle, and a grandpa. Stick around, you might learn something from our boiling marriage stew.
