The quiet force pulling us.
Talk about shaking up the pudding. That's what I did yesterday.
Today is the calm view from the deck chairs with cushions and blankets, because there is that Alaska summer nip in the air, mixed with intermittent drizzle. Summer in Alaska usually lasts about three or four days, once or twice per month.
August is the rainy month, but it was July this year that had record rainfall.
Earlier this morning, during prayer, the descriptive for God came to me: "shy to share."
God is shy to share the heart-wet, shim-jung, water-filled crescendos when motioning us to listen.

I like sitting here in the quiet. But even better is having a pen and notebook on my knee. Instead of avoiding the unsettled chaos of society's troubles, I'd rather pull those entanglements free by the mental and central peace permitted me during the short time I get to sit here.

Highly Trained by my wife
Back in '82, I married into another country, another race, another language and culture, another way of doing things, simple things, like organizing kitchen shelves, tying shoes, shopping for bread, all different... when I married my beloved from Japan, Yoshi.
We were introduced by our favorite pastor but could not be more opposite, except our birth dates which shoulder each other. Our marriage turned out to be a blessing. I'm a pastor, an uncle, and a grandpa. Stick around, you might learn something from our boiling marriage stew.
