The formula for Well-Dying is just as interesting as the one for Living-Well.
The formula for Living Well is a long way off. The first step of the trek belatedly begins with me not even knowing my first day, my birth day, until long after it was. Why was I born? It's not that my parents didn't know.
I like things clear and straightforward.
"Love" is the simplest answer to the Why question. "To Love" is the simplest to the Living Well question. In the simplest of worlds that would be enough.
Being sixty-six, I know better. Could it be I'm jaundiced by life that Living Well doesn't exist. Still. There is a destination, a home in the woods, at the ocean shore that's called Living Well.
And without skipping a card, my wife brings up a new topic for me: Well-Dying.
The "Well-Dying" formula could at least let me pass on, despite the lack and loss of good living, to pass on and face the mysterious Next World with peace. I mean, who says the Next World will be without its own troubles of dried wells?
Will I have the ability to travel anywhere in the Next World? Depends. Did I travel upon love in this world? One must follow the formula of Living Well first. Will I be able to eat and taste all kinds of foods there? Do they have grocery stores and restaurants in the Next World? Where do our meals come from?
As I understand, you don't have to eat there. But, eating, it's so much fun in this era of Living Well. Especially, coffee cupping on cabin verandas. What would be the coffee like in the Next World? Sumatra rich? Hot or iced? Do I even need a cup, or could I drink it from drops in the sky?
I think the topic of Well-Dying is more important to know its formula. Well-Dying should be supported by the Living Well formula. How do I live well? Is there a formula?
Oh yeah. Love. How sweet. How simple. How do I manage that one rule when my son hates me, my wife doesn't speak my language, my church is way behind the curve, my business is crawling, my cars need fixing, my neighbors keep encroaching, my government representatives think differently, the bookstore has too many books, the Internet is slow, the rain patters and pitters on puddles in my driveway right now?
How do I manage a broken dream and a busted heart? Love. Oh... So simple, I forgot it.
What, then, is the manual for love? Another page, another day. Another smile. If impatient... ask my parents in the Next World.

Highly Trained by my wife
Back in '82, I married into another country, another race, another language and culture, another way of doing things, simple things, like organizing kitchen shelves, tying shoes, shopping for bread, all different... when I married my beloved from Japan, Yoshi.
We were introduced by our favorite pastor but could not be more opposite, except our birth dates which shoulder each other. Our marriage turned out to be a blessing. I'm a pastor, an uncle, and a grandpa. Stick around, you might learn something from our boiling marriage stew.
